The AQUADAPT-Mekong coordination unit visits a tilapia farm using Biofloc technology. This system is a new and innovative approach to commercial aquaculture. It is meant for high stocking densities with little water exchange; relying on microorganisms to “clean” the water and turn waste into substances that fish can eat, thereby reducing the amount of pelleted feed needed.
